Fish with Ginger
Chinese ginger sauce recipe:
with Fish
Ginger is regarded as refreshing and aromatic; it strengthens the stomach and is good for treating poor digestion and some similar stomach problems, including sea-sickness. More details below after the recipe.

The Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 2 carrots (cut into julienne)
Julienne Carrots and Chayote
- 1 Chayote (cut into julienne)
Chayote
Spices & Condiments
- Grated ginger (1 tbs)
- Sliced Garlic (qty = 3 gloves)
- Chopped Onion (qty = 1)
- Chopped tomatoes (qty =2)
- Soy sauce (2 tbs)
- Vinegar (1 tbs)
- Sugar (1 tsp)
- Cooking oil (as stated below)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Herbs
- Finely chopped chives (2 tbs)
Finely chopped chives

- Ginger (grated or finely sliced)

Everyone really wants to do something, but there are few that will put forward the needed effort to make the necessary sacrifice to secure it.
The Directions (in Easy steps)
- Stir fry the julienne carrots in a little oil for about 3 minutes over high heat
- Do the same with the julienne chayote, and set both aside
- Prepare the juice by mixing the soy sauce, vinegar and sugar
- Stir fry ginger, garlic and onion for about 2 minutes in 5 tbs of oil over high heat
- Add the juice and the chopped tomatoes, then mix well over high heat for about 2 minutes
- Add the fried julienne carrots and chayote, then mix well and remove from heat
- Season the fish fillet with salt and pepper and fry in a non-stick pan until done.
- Place the fried fish fillet on plate, then pour the vegetable mixture over it
- Garnish with the finely chopped chives
Tips:
The ginger can be either grated or finely sliced. However more benefits are obtained if it is grated.

- decomposes the thick gases accumulating in the intestines
- increases the memory power
- it regulates the menstrual cycle in women

This post came just in time as I didn’t have any idea of what do to with fishes. I usually cook them in the oven with pepper, and salt and garlic too. My children got fed up of the same recipe.
