BBQ Chicken Drumsticks Grill:

The Satay sauce in this amazing Asian recipe chicken drumsticks grill contains peanuts which is rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. The Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  1. Chicken drumsticks (8 pieces)

Spices & Condiments

  1. Ginger (1tbs) – freshly grated
  2. Garlic (1 clove) – Crushed
  3. Unsalted roasted peanuts (150g) – finely chopped
  4. Curry powder (1tsp)
  5. Ground coriander (1tbs)
  6. Lime Juice (2tbs)
  7. Soy sauce (2tbs)
  8. Honey (1tbs)
  9. Coconut milk (250ml)
  10. Salt to taste

Herbs

  • Coriander leaves (2tbs); fresh and coarsely chopped

The Directions (in Easy steps)

Marinating the drumsticks

  1. Make 2 deep cuts in the thickest part of each drumstick.
  2. Combine spices and condiments in a large shallow dish.
  3. Add the drumsticks.
  4. Turning to coat all over with the marinade.
  5. Cover, refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.

Grilling the drumsticks

  1. Drain the drumsticks over medium pan.
  2. Reserve the marinade.
  3. Grill drumsticks on heated oiled barbecue until browned all over.
  4. Then continue in covered barbecue, using indirect heat, for about 15 minutes or until tender.

The Satay Sauce

  1. Meanwhile, place reserved marinade on barbecue.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Simmer, stirring for about 5 minutes or until thick.

Tips:

  • Marinating the drumsticks is best made one day before.
  • Poultry is ready to eat if, when pierced, its juices run clear.
  • This succulent meat can quickly become overcooked, so careful watching must be a part of the grilling process.
