Easy Homemade Salad Dressings:

If you prefer, you can blend or process these dressings – or use a hand blender – rather than shake them in a jar. This gives the dressings a slightly thicker, creamier consistency. Below are four simple salad dressing recipes

French dressing

Final Volume: 250 ml

The Ingredients

1.  White vinegar — (60 ml)

2.  Olive oil — —   -(180 ml)

3.  Sugar —   —   –(½ tsp)

4.  Dijon mustard — (1 tsp)

1.  Combine ingredients in screw-top jar.

2.  Shake well. 


Guilt-free dressing

Easy Homemade Salad DressingsFinal Volume: 250 ml

The Ingredients

1.  Buttermilk   —   (120 ml)

2.  French dressing (2 tbs)

3.  Honey —   —   (1 tbs)

4.  Seeded mustard (1 tbs)

5.  Fresh chives —  (2 tbs) – finely chopped

1.  Combine ingredients in screw-top jar.

2.  Shake well.


Italian dressing

The Ingredients

1.  White vinegar  – (2 tbs)

2.  Lemon juice —  (2 tbs)

3.  Sugar —   —   (½ tsp)

4.  Olive oil — —  (180 ml)

5.  Garlic   –(2 cloves) – crushed

6.  Basil leaves — (1 tbs) – fresh and finely chopped

7.  Oregano leaves   (1 tbs) – fresh and finely chopped

1.  Combine ingredients in screw-top jar.

2.  Shake well.


Chef Special tomato based salad dressing

Easy Homemade Salad DressingsFinal Volume: 400 ml (approximate)

The Ingredients

1.  Egg tomatoes —   — (3 large) – peeled, seeded, quartered

2.  Green Onions     —   (2 medium) – chopped coarsely

3.  Red vinegar   —  —  (80 ml)

4.  Sweet chilli sauce —  (80 ml)

5.  Garlic   —   —   —   (2 cloves) – quartered

6.  Seeded mustard —   (1 tsp)

7.  Sugar —   —   —   (1 tsp)

8.  Cracked black pepper (1 tsp)

9.  Fresh parsley — —   (2 tbs) – coarsely chopped

1.  Blend or process ingredients until almost smooth.
